Lipstick Ladies Supports UK Tour

March 28, 2011

I’m pleased to introduce you to our tour supporters The Lipstick Ladies.

These lovely ladies will be joining us at quite a few of the venues along the way to tell you about their new website, described as a one-stop solution for the modern gay woman.

Just a few days until the tour kicks off…

Says Rozie, Trudi and Maddy (Site founders)
“We’re really excited to be supporting Heather’s tour because we think the launch of thelipstickladies.co.uk will have massive appeal for her fans.”

“The launch of our website means that the modern gay woman will no longer have to scour the web, or different magazines for the information they need. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, lovers or business connections, or you want to find out where to go with the girls this weekend, how to amuse the kids on holiday, you’re looking for gift ideas for your lady or you want to get fit - we’ve got it covered.”

“We’ll be in the foyer of most of Heather’s shows on tour, so come and see us to find out more or why not dive in now?”

UK Tour – Web Series

March 24, 2011

I am delighted to announce that videomaker Patrick Stutt will join me on my first ever UK tour to make a special pay per view online rockumentary.

There will be four episodes at around 20 minutes long featuring highlights from each date of the tour, backstage antics with drummer Lisa Tring, special guest Jill Jackson, and on the road footage from the Peacemobile.

Plus fans are invited to get involved! I want everyone to email any footage they take from their phones at my shows for the chance to be part of the final rockumentary.

This can be of you and your friends at the gig, making your way to the venue, live performance footage - anything that tells the story of your experience at one of my shows. You can send this footage to heatherpeacevideo@gmail.com – for more details on the format, take a look at patrickstutt.com

The web series will go live on heatherpeace.com from June 20th. Until then, afterellen.com and my Official YouTube Channel will be posting exclusive diary clips throughout the tour – and if you can’t even wait until then, here’s a little sneak peek from the first tour rehearsals in Brighton… check out the sign on the wall just behind us… !?

I have to be in Glasgow on Sunday, 3rd April so have decided to throw an Afternoon Tea Party at Sloans – where I first played with Jill Jackson.

This show will be different from the others on the tour. It will be an exclusive, intimate show with Jill and Lisa Tring, plus there will be an audience Q&A.

Heather Peace UK Tour – Spring 2011

February 25, 2011

Great LezBritain presents:
I’m pleased to announced the support acts and special guests for the UK tour

The talented Jill Jackson, and percussionist and drummer extraordinaire Lisa Tring, will join me on stage for every date of the tour. Plus Jill will perform a set from her debut album ‘Back To Zero’ every night.

In Belfast, hotly tipped local singer Morgan McIntyre will open the show with a short set of the original songs that led to Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody to describe her as “Extraordinary!”

In Glasgow (1st April), Manchester (6th April), and London, the show will be opened by Midas Fall. The duo have been compared to Portishead and they had two tracks on the Lip Service soundtrack.

Support in Edinburgh (2nd April) comes from Scottish trio Quickbeam whose ethereal sounds have been described as “…Beautiful. Sparse and concise at it’s finest,” by Jim Fairchild (Grandaddy / Modest Mouse).

The finale show at London’s Village Underground (15th April) will be compered by the absolutely hilarious Suzi Ruffell. Suzi was recently nominated for the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and co-presents Out In South London on Resonance FM

There will also be some secret special guests making an appearance on the London stage and local DJs will host an aftershow party until 2am.

It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to be able to do a big tour like this and I’m really chuffed to have the chance to support some other female musicians along the way. I think they are all awesome and I know you will too.

I’ve also added an extra matinee show at Sloans in Glasgow on Sunday, 3rd April from 2pm which has now SOLD OUT, thank you. The show entitled ‘Heather’s Tea Party’ will be a more intimate show with Jill and Lisa, plus an audience Q&A. The ticket price includes a glass of wine, sandwiches and home-baked cakes.

See you all soon! H x
